Tall Paul came back to School

On Monday 12th June and Tuesday 13th June 2023, we were visited by Paul Sturgess, the tallest professional basketball player in the World! Paul has represented the Harlem Globetrotters and many other outstanding teams on the basketball court.

Paul taught us how he embraced his differences and has now gone on to do some amazing things with his life, not only as a basketball player but as an actor too. Paul has starred in well-known films and series, such as Avatar, Lord of the Rings and Fantastic Beasts. 

Every pupil at school had the opportunity to work with Paul, in a basketball workshop and learn lots of his top tips and tricks. We also attended a fantastic, inspirational assembly, that encouraged us to reach for the stars and never let our differences stop us from achieving our goals.
